Meet Natalie Winland
Miss Teen North America 2023
About
Natalie is 18 years old from Columbus, Ohio. She is currently an honors student at West Virginia University studying Biomedical Engineering and Molecular Medicine on the Pre-Med track. Natalie hopes to pursue a career in medicine specializing in anesthesiology in the U.S. Air Force. As a woman in STEM, Natalie has her own non-profit initiative called Seen and Heard that implements STEM programming within low income school districts.
Targeting minority students, Natalie has impacted nearly 1000 students statewide through free after school programming as well as a summer camp. She has worked with organizations like COSI, the American Heart Association, and the Ohio Department of Education to help expand her reach nationwide.
She plans to use her year as Miss Teen North America 2024 to travel the continent and visit as many struggling communities as she
can to facilitate diversity in the STEM workforce. Natalie understands that education is not universally accessible which is why
she is so passionate about pursuing her non profit work.
While being committed to her academics, Natalie is also involved in
social groups on campus such as CHAARG, a club for women interested in exercise to attend fitness classes together, and Hillel,
an organization that helps Jewish students connect.
Natalie enjoys modeling and is represented by Wings Model and Actor
Management. She also loves animals, spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and staying active outdoors!
